Two industry leading products for manufacturing and fulfillment facilities.
We’re going to start with a packaging product today. It’s the lowest gauge hand film in the market. It’s not necessarily new but in the search for cost savings, it’s an innovation you should know about.
Beyond that, we’re stepping outside of packaging again for a moment. I’ve been in the industry for 10 years and this is the most impressive degreaser I’ve seen. It’s impressive for many reasons.
For what it’s worth, both of these products could help achieve sustainability goals.
Amcor’s Fortitude Stretch Film: Ultra-Thin & High Performance
Well, let’s just start with the fact Fortitude is made to be used in nearly all applications and could show massive cost savings.
Fortitude is a hand film that is a hybrid between conventional and pre-stretch film. Some of the “features” of it include:
Superior Cling
Exceptional Clarity - Need to scan a label through the film? No problem.
Puncture & Tear Resistant - high quality film that is hard to puncture and is doubled up on the edges (aka, a 28ga film is actually 56ga on the edges)
Leading Load Holding Force - it’s a stiff film and eliminates room for film to shift further during transit.
Fortitude is available in a variety of widths and gauges. 14.5”, 15.5”, and 17.25” widths and 24ga, 28ga, and 32ga thicknesses. The 24ga film specifically is the lowest gauge hand wrap on the market.
A knowledgeable rep can help guide you to the right one for your application. OR, hey - maybe Fortitude isn’t really the right film for you. Speaking of, here is a good checklist to determine if Fortitude could be worth a look:
Your pallet loads are uniform OR extremely irregular
Any temperature range down to freezer temps
Whether your hand wrapping for internal movement or to ship product out.
Light to medium pallet weights
Your workers complain about hand wrapping (or maybe your Safety mgr is concerned about the ergonomics of it)
Where isn’t Fortitude a fit?! That’s the thing - it works in the majority of applications. The biggest hold up tends to be that it does require a slightly different application, albeit typically easier. Extremely heavy pallet loads may not be a great fit for it. And there are probably other situations too where it’s not. BUT, if you’re looking for cost savings and/or improved hand wrap performance, it’s probably worth a look.
Genesan’s “Industry” Degreaser

In my 10+ years in the packaging and industrial janitorial & safety industry, Industry is the most impressive degreaser I’ve seen. For so many reasons.
Cost Competitive - The “in use” cost per gallon is very cost effective.
Effective & Versatile - Just me, I’ve sold it to do everything from general floor cleaning to an adhesive remover. Removes petroleum stains, tire marks, organic materials/greases, and ink & marker.
Extremely Safe - NSF certified for use in food environments….safest certification possible. Also solvent free.
Low Foam - Ideal for use in auto scrubbers.
Real World Case Study: Consolidated 3 products with a $20,000 savings.
A customer used Industry to replace: aerosol adhesive remover, 5gl pails of adhesive remover, and a daily degreaser used in the floor scrubber. Showing savings on all three.
The biggest savings though came from the 5gl pails of adhesive remover - bout 2 pails per month at $600/pail. They’d mix it 1:1 with water. With the Industry at 25oz/gl, they went from $600 to $32.50 per use. Showing $13,500 annual savings there alone.
To recap - they consolidated three SKU’s into one, realized a substantial savings, and their EHS manager was giddy to get rid of the toxic/hazardous adhesive removers.
If you’re looking for a quick win in your facility, this Industry degreaser might be a nice feather in your cap.
